Operation Christmas Rucksack
Financial Options are helping the homeless this Christmas with ‘Operation Christmas Rucksack’
Whilst the Christmas season is full of cheer for the majority of us, there are some people less fortunate than
ourselves who will not have the best of times.
Please help us to fill rucksacks for the homeless.
We will be donating the rucksacks through the charity- Cornerstone around Salford & Manchester.

There is no need to wrap anything as we will be packing the items in rucksacks to hand out. We are supporting Cornerstone who will help us distribute the Christmas Rucksacks to those in need.
Items needed:
- Backpacks or rucksacks, so people on the streets can carry their earthly possessions with them (simple shopping carrier bags are also very useful!)
- Sleeping bags
- All kinds of clothing, but particularly warm and/or waterproof clothing, and things like gloves, scarves and socks
- Deodorant-please ensure this doesn’t contain alcohol or is an aerosol
- Toiletries
- Toothbrushes/toothpaste
- Non-perishable food /Cartons of soft drinks i.e. biscuits/cereal bars
Please note, the majority of the homeless people that Cornerstone work
with are men (90%) but there are some women as well, so please bare this mind
when thinking of gifts.
